Claudia Cedeño

Claudia Cedeño is an Attorney at Grossman Young & Hammond specializing in immigration and international law. She works on family-based immigration, naturalization, and complex inadmissibility waivers and assists clients with the removal of INTERPOL Red Notices, providing a comprehensive and strategic approach to her client’s immigration needs.

 

Before joining Grossman Young & Hammond, Claudia worked at the Embassy of Mexico in the Office of Legal Affairs, where she assisted in implementing bilateral treaties, collaborating closely with the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of State. She also worked at the Legal Attaché Office of the Attorney General of Mexico for the U.S. and Canada, where she focused on international cooperation in criminal matters with the Department of Justice and various U.S. law enforcement agencies. Her government experience gives her a unique understanding of how authorities handle complex cases, enabling her to advocate effectively for her clients.

 

Claudia’s personal immigration journey makes her particularly empathetic to her clients’ needs. Originally from Mexico, she has successfully navigated numerous U.S. visa categories, including tourist, student, diplomatic, and employment visas. This firsthand experience allows her to offer compassionate and informed representation.

 

Claudia holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Legal Studies with a specialization in International Human Rights from American University Washington College of Law (WCL), where she also gained experience working at the Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

 

Fluent in English and Spanish, Claudia is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Hispanic Bar Association. She is licensed to practice law in New York and Mexico.
